Can You Hear Me Now?

“Be still and know that I am God…” (Psalm 46:10)

Ladies, how hard is it for us to be still? Many of us are going in a hundred different directions at the same time fulfilling our many roles as mom, wife, employee, volunteer, taxi driver, caregiver, house cleaner, sister, and/or friend. (And I may have forgotten a few other roles) with to do lists a mile long and minds that are going a mile a minute, it’s so hard to just STOP, BE STILL, AND LISTEN!

Sure, we listen to our spouses, our kids, co-workers and friends, but how often to we stop and listen to God?  When we don’t stop, we can’t listen, and when we don’t listen, we can’t hear.

“Maybe like me, you’ve wondered: Is it really possible to hear God’s voice? Can I know when He is speaking to me? Maybe that was just a random thought? What if I make a decision based on what I think God is saying and then discover I was wrong … then what?”

I didn’t write the above paragraph, it comes from a devotional from Proverbs 31 Ministries, but I easily could have written it because it expresses exactly how I feel!

If if you want to read more, click the link below to read this short devotional about hearing from God. It ministered to me and I hope it does the same for you.
